Instructions
- Prepare the Protein: Season the chicken and shrimp evenly with Cajun seasoning to ensure every bite is packed with bold, spicy flavor.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil or butter in a hot skillet. Sauté the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet to prevent overcooking.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add diced onions, bell peppers, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
- Create the Sauce: Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan to build deep flavor. Let simmer briefly until slightly reduced.
- Combine and Finish: Return the chicken and shrimp to the pan, tossing to coat with the sauce. Simmer for another 2 minutes to allow flavors to meld perfectly.
