Scale
Meat and Proteins
- 1 lb lean ground beef
Big Mac Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Veggies and Cheese
- 1 cup finely shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup finely diced onions
- 1/4 cup sliced dill pickles
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Other
- 8–10 taco shells (soft or hard)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, finely chopped pickles, and paprika. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Refrigerate the sauce to allow the flavors to meld while preparing other ingredients.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking the meat apart with a spatula until fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Prep the Veggies and Cheese: Wash and finely shred the iceberg lettuce, dice the onions and pickles if not already done, and grate the cheddar cheese to prepare for assembly.
- Warm the Taco Shells: Preheat your oven or microwave. Warm the taco shells until they are pliable and ready to hold the fillings without breaking or cracking.
- Assemble the Big Mac Tacos: Start by placing a layer of cooked ground beef inside each taco shell. Spoon a generous amount of Big Mac sauce over the beef. Add shredded lettuce, diced onions, sliced pickles, and finish with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat this process for all tacos.
Notes
- Use fresh ingredients like crisp lettuce and pickles for the best texture and flavor contrast.
- Avoid overfilling the taco shells to make them easier to eat and less messy.
- Chilling the Big Mac sauce for at least 30 minutes enhances the flavor by allowing it to meld.
- Customize the meat seasoning by adding garlic or onion powder for deeper flavor.
- Serve tacos immediately to maintain crispy shells and fresh texture of ingredients.
