Twix Cheesecake

Twix Cheesecake

Twix Cheesecake is a decadent dessert that perfectly combines the creamy richness of classic cheesecake with the irresistible layers of caramel, biscuit, and chocolate from Twix bars. This multi-textured treat is simple to make using everyday ingredients and is perfect for sharing at gatherings or celebrations, offering both a beautiful presentation and an indulgent flavor experience.

  • Total Time: 5 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups digestive biscuits or graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter

For the Cheesecake Filling

  • 24 oz (680 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 34 Twix bars, chopped (about 150 g total)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Crush the digestive biscuits or graham crackers into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with melted butter until the consistency resembles wet sand. Firmly press this mixture into the base of a springform pan to create an even, crunchy foundation for the cheesecake.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time while mixing. Fold in the sour cream and vanilla extract gently until you have a silky, lump-free batter.
  3. Mix in the Twix Bars: Chop the Twix bars into small chunks. Gently fold half of these Twix pieces into the cheesecake batter, distributing them evenly without breaking them down too much.
  4. Assemble and Bake: Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust and smooth the top. Sprinkle the remaining Twix chunks evenly over the surface. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center still jiggles slightly when moved.
  5. Cool and Chill: Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld and the texture set perfectly.

Notes

  • Use cream cheese and eggs at room temperature to ensure a smooth, lump-free batter.
  • Fold Twix bars gently into the batter to keep their crunchy texture intact.
  • Baking the cheesecake in a water bath can help prevent cracking and promote even cooking; if unavailable, cover the pan with foil and bake at a lower temperature.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool gradually to avoid shrinking or cracking.
  • Chill the cheesecake thoroughly before serving for best texture and flavor development.
