Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder (for filling)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Crust and Assembly
- 1 (8 oz) can Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough
- 3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder (for topping)
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Filling: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add diced onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is fully cooked and fragrant. Drain excess grease and set mixture aside to cool slightly.
- Roll Out the Dough: Unroll crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate into rectangles instead of triangles by pressing the seams together, creating a solid sheet for filling.
- Assemble the Bombs: Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture onto each dough rectangle. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Carefully fold the dough over the filling, sealing all edges completely to encase the filling.
- Coat with Garlic Parmesan Topping: Brush the tops of the sealed bombs with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder to create a flavorful, crispy crust.
- Bake to Golden Perfection: Place bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 18 minutes until golden, crispy, and bubbly on top.
Notes
- Don’t overfill the dough portions to prevent leaks during baking.
- Seal the dough edges securely by pinching and folding to keep filling inside.
- Allow beef mixture to cool slightly before filling the dough to prevent melting the dough prematurely.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor and crisp texture.
- Serve bombs warm for optimal melty and crispy texture.
