Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- Mix the Cupcake Batter: Cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to wet mixture, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Bake the Cupcakes: Divide batter evenly into cupcake liners, filling about two-thirds full. Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Make the Edible Cookie Dough Frosting: Beat softened butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla extract and salt. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth and pipeable. Fold in mini chocolate chips gently.
- Frost and Decorate: Once cupcakes are cool, frost using a piping bag or knife. Optionally, top with extra mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, or small cookie dough balls for decoration.
