Instructions

- Make the Gravy: Remove most of the fat from the pan, leaving about 2 tablespoons for flavor. Add butter and flour to the drippings and whisk continuously to form a roux. Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly to create a smooth gravy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Assemble the Casserole: Pour the creamy sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit pieces spread in the casserole dish. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top before baking for an extra indulgent twist.
- Bake Until Golden and Bubbly: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are cooked through and the gravy is bubbling and lightly browned on top.
