- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Rotini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water for the sauce if needed.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Break it up and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning while cooking. Once browned, drain excess fat.
- Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet with the beef. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese until smooth and well combined. Let the sauce thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet, tossing it in the garlic parmesan sauce to coat each spiral beautifully. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach your preferred consistency.
